Square Gravel Stone

Square Gravel Stone is a small gravel that can be used in garden beds, landscape beds, outdoor patios, playgrounds and driveways. Due to its smooth texture, this gravel type has become increasingly popular for these projects.
Landscape fabric comes in an array of colors, such as white, brown, tan, black and gray. With so many suppliers to choose from, it makes a great landscaping material.
How to Install Pea Gravel Stone
The initial step in installing pea gravel is creating a border around your path. This will prevent the gravel from sinking into the soil and enable leveling and tamping down after installation.
Next, you should lay a base rock layer over the soil. This will help secure the gravel in place and prevent weeds from taking root.
Create a foundation with 3/4-inch stones and stone dust by mixing 3/4-inch stones with stone dust. Make sure the layer of stones is at least 1/2 an inch higher than pea gravel to ensure stability.
Once your base is established, apply an even layer of pea gravel on top. Make sure it is at the appropriate depth for your project.
Material such as this is typically sold by the cubic yard or bag. To get the lowest cost per unit, it's best to purchase from a nearby supplier. Some landscaping stores and stone yards may require an order minimum in order to offer delivery; so be sure to inquire beforehand.
