Poltrona Frau Arabesque Armchair Hi-Poly

Poltrona Frau is a luxury furniture manufacturer renowned for its iconic Chester line of modular seating systems and its mid-century modern designs that have been influenced by the rolled arms and tall, imposing profiles of English Chesterfield chairs. The company has partnered with hundreds of leading architects and designers around the world.



The Arabesque armchair and footstool, a design by Kensaku Oshiro for Poltrona Frau, is an interpretation of the classic Chester armchair. It has a structure made of tubular metal with burnished and blasted or gunmetal grey finish, and is upholstered in Pelle Frau leather or elegant combinations of leather and fabric.

A headrest is integrated into the structure in rigid polyurethane with moulded polyurethane foam padding for the high version of the chair. The backrest and seat structure are in moulded rigid polyurethane with metallic inserts and padded with thermoformed ABS plastic and the cushions are padded with polyurethane foam.



The armrests are in tubular metal with gunmetal grey or burnished and blasted finish, lightly padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered in hand-stitched Pelle Frau(r) leather. The frame is in die-cast aluminum with black painted steel joints. The spring system is a combination of intertwined elastic belts for the seats and backrests, and the base and feet are in molded aluminum with ruthenium finish.
