Arm chair_Husk

Husk has the kind of shape that almost explains its comfort before anyone sits down. A rigid outer shell holds a loose arrangement of oversized cushions, with deep folds and soft edges that make the chair feel closer to a nest than a conventional lounge seat. Patricia Urquiola designed the original Husk armchair for B&B Italia in 2011, combining a hard Hirek® shell made from recycled and recyclable polymers with generously padded upholstery.

The 3D model captures that contrast particularly well. The light-colored shell and four-spoke swivel base give the chair a clean architectural structure, while the grey fabric cushions look deliberately relaxed and slightly compressed rather than perfectly sculpted. Separate padded sections around the back, arms and seat create the characteristic quilted, enveloping appearance that defines Husk. It is a strong choice for contemporary living rooms, reading corners, hotel lounges or refined bedroom interiors where the furniture needs to feel inviting without losing its designer identity.
