Gallotti&Radice LILAS double bed

Lilas has an unusual sense of weightlessness for such a substantial upholstered bed. The broad frame projects beyond the mattress, yet a recessed plinth hides underneath, making the whole volume appear to hover just above the floor. Its headboard follows the same restrained idea: low, wide and gently rounded at the corners rather than decorative for decoration's sake. In the render, pale grey upholstery is paired with casually layered bedding in olive, charcoal and off-white, so the furniture reads less like a showroom piece and more like something already settled into a quiet contemporary bedroom.
Designed by Dainelli Studio for Gallotti&Radice, the original Lilas uses an internal wooden structure with different-density polyurethane foam and polyester-fibre padding. Fabric and leather upholstery are both offered with removable covers, while wooden slats are part of the construction. That construction explains the soft but controlled silhouette particularly well, and the 3D model preserves the details that matter in visualization - rounded upholstery edges, layered textiles, believable folds and the shadow line beneath the floating frame. It is an easy fit for high-end residential bedrooms, hotel suites and understated modern interiors where the bed needs presence without relying on an oversized or ornate headboard.
