LOCUS SOLUS SUN LOUNGER

More rolling sculpture than conventional outdoor furniture, this sun lounger is built around the playful geometry that made 1960s Italian design so memorable. Gae Aulenti created the original Locus Solus collection in 1964, and the re-edition preserves its unmistakable combination of straight tubular lines, oversized circles and bold graphic textiles. Measuring 2100 x 800 x 580 mm, the piece has a long, low profile designed for relaxed reclining beside a pool, on a terrace or within an expressive resort interior.

Its large painted wheels are not hidden mechanical details but the main visual signature. They frame the seat, form rounded side supports and allow the lounger to be moved more easily. A stainless-steel structure runs beneath the slim upholstered platform and curves upward into an open headrest, where a hand-finished cushion adds comfort without interrupting the airy silhouette. The exclusive Locus Solus fabric pattern introduces looping bands of orange, yellow and blue, although the design also works convincingly in quieter monochrome finishes.

The detailed 3D model recreates the colored metal frame, circular wheel hardware, layered upholstery and fine woven surface of the technical fabric.
