Sancal DUO Sofa

The something pleasantly relaxed about this piece - it looks substantial without becoming heavy. The composition uses two broad seat modules, softly rounded edges and a tall side section that flows almost continuously into the backrest. In the render, the warm grey-beige upholstery has a fine woven texture, while the loose throw hanging over the open end breaks up the otherwise very clean geometry. That slight asymmetry gives the sofa a more lived-in character than a perfectly formal showroom arrangement.

Duo was designed for Sancal by Rafa García as a modular seating system, with generous seats and rounded volumes kept visually close to the floor. The design has since evolved into the Duo Mini and Duo Maxi families, but the recognizable idea remains the same: simple sections that can be combined without losing the soft, sculptural silhouette.
