Gf highlander

The Highlander feels tailored rather than simply upholstered. Deep capitonné quilting runs across the generous seat and rounded end section, while the tall inner back is finished with dense vertical pleating. Those two textures meet within one low, architectural silhouette, giving the sofa the sort of detail you notice gradually. The pale grey upholstery keeps the composition calm, but the narrow dark base, slim feet and scattered cushions stop it from becoming too uniform. Even the rear and side areas matter here: the sectional arrangement incorporates low console-like surfaces and open shelving, making it particularly convincing when placed away from a wall.

This design comes from the Highlander collection by Gianfranco Ferré Home, where pleated and quilted upholstery is deliberately combined to echo the brand’s fashion-oriented approach to craftsmanship. Production versions use a beechwood-and-foam structure, fabric or leather upholstery, and black-lacquered wooden feet finished with brushed-bronze tips. The modular HIG.213.C configuration measures approximately 370 × 178 × 70 cm, while the family also includes straight three- and four-seat arrangements.
