BM 0488 Coffee Table Hi-Poly

The versatile BM0488 Table Bench is an inspiring independent piece that exudes wellbeing wherever it's placed. It was originally part of Borge Mogensen's 'building furniture' concept, designed to be adaptable over time according to changing needs and living situations.

This multi-functional design was inspired by the BM0865 Daybed, featuring a woven tabletop and subtle details. Now also available as the shorter BM0488S version for even greater versatility when integrating into any space or seating landscape.

The BM0488 Table Bench is crafted with solid oak to showcase its dense and flawless heartwood. Crafted with traditional cabinetry joints and rounded edges that repeat throughout its legs and rails, this bench also has a double-woven wicker top that makes it suitable for use as either an entrance hall bench, end bed end table or coffee/side table.

Borge Mogensen was a renowned Danish designer of the mid-20th century, known for his dedication to traditional values of craftsmanship and material honesty. Additionally, he advocated visual clarity, minimal decoration, as well as durable yet functional furniture that could enhance people's daily lives.

Kaare Klint's student, he upheld the principles of evolutionary design progression while also developing classical cabinet-maker's types and crafts. By creating long-lasting pieces with humans at their center, he became a highly influential post-war designer and leading representative of Danish Modernism.
