AM2C By Nemo

The AM2C by Nemo is a floor lamp that combines a sleek, tubular chrome-plated metal stem with a gently curving, cup-shaped opal white glass diffuser, creating a timeless and refined look.
Standing approximately 180 cm tall with a base diameter around 37 cm and a shade diameter close to 40 cm, this lamp offers substantial presence in any interior without overwhelming the surrounding space.
Originally designed in 1969 by the Milanese team Franco Albini, Franca Helg, Antonio Piva and Marco Albini as part of the AM/AS collection, the product combines rationalist proportions with high-quality materials, like hand‑blown glass.
It provides elegant uplighting: the bowl-shaped diffuser redirects light towards the ceiling for soft, ambient illumination. The lamp uses a standard E27 (E26) bulb—compatible with halogen, incandescent, LED or fluorescent sources—and features an inline dimmer on the cable.
With a maximum output around 150–250 W (depending on bulb and region), this lamp is ideal for living rooms, lounges, or offices, blending discreet functionality with a stylish modernist aesthetic .
As part of Nemo’s Masters Collection by Cassina, the AM2C may also be available in special finishes—such as rose-gold frame with dove‑grey glass—though the classic chrome-and-opal-white version remains the most iconic.
