Ashbury Area Light 01

A street lamp does not need to disappear into the background. Ashbery has enough personality to become part of the architecture itself, borrowing the familiar proportions of classic American lanterns and stripping them down into a cleaner, more contemporary silhouette. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects for Landscape Forms, the fixture combines a tall slender pole with an open geometric housing and a softly diffused LED element suspended beneath the broad upper cap.

The 3D model is especially useful for parks, pedestrian promenades, residential developments, campuses and landscaped public spaces where lighting fixtures remain clearly visible in the composition. Its narrow metal framework, tapered base and carefully modeled luminaire give exterior renders an extra layer of believable urban detail without overwhelming the scene. The original Ashbery family includes multiple pole heights and single or double configurations, while this downloadable version is provided in MAX, FBX and OBJ formats.
