AKARI pendant lamp

Designer Isamu Noguchi designed the Akari Light Sculptures collection, and this pendant lamp aesthetically demonstrates oriental tradition and is characterized by a weightless glow. The pendant is handmade from traditional washi paper.
This paper is obtained from the bark of the mulberry tree, cut into strips according to the size and shape of the lamp, and then glued to the bamboo ribs. After the glue dries, the wooden form is removed and the lampshade can be folded. The lamps are packaged in flat boxes designed specifically for lamps.
With the magic of paper, the light of our origin - the sun - fills the space with warmth and light. Akari Series luminaires are marked with a stylized logo in the form of the sun and moon, which also resembles the corresponding Japanese characters. And this symbol also guarantees the authenticity of each product.
