Wall Light Sculpture Dominick Leuci

The mystical appearance of sea dragons (Phycodurus Eques) to designer Dominic Leuci was the inspiration for the Eques series. The graceful and wing-like bodies of sea dragons, which also have the ability to change color, look like flora, making them indistinguishable from seaweed as they move serenely through the water. The designer used these mesmerizing shapes for the wall lights.

Using LEDs and stainless steel, each air-blown sculptural "plume" is set in place to convey a sense of movement. Custom-made plumes reflect light from the body as well as the environment, adding deeper layers of wonder as the light changes around the sculpture.
