M249 Machine Gun (PBR)

The M249 Machine Gun is a US Army light machine gun designed to give infantry squads the firepower of a machine gun with the precision and portability of a rifle. It was modified from Belgium's FN MINIMI design, and has seen service in conflicts such as the Gulf War and others recently.
It can be fed from belt-fed ammunition or a 20 or 30-round STANAG magazine. Furthermore, its rapid barrel exchange system enables gunners to replace worn out or damaged barrels within seconds without discharging their weapon.
Aiming The M249 utilizes a four-ball and one-tracer combination of 5.56x45mm NATO rounds, ideal for suppressing and destroying targets in low light conditions or at night. The gunner can direct the rounds onto their intended targets by observing their trajectory rather than using optics.
For close range use, the M249 features a bipod that can be adjusted to three heights. It also mounts on tripods or vehicle mounts.
Power and Performance
With certain BBs, this gun can deliver between 450 FPS and 550 FPS on a 9v battery (and some people report up to 650+FPS with 0.20g BBs), making it an attractive choice for many players. Unfortunately, its mag compatibility is somewhat limited; you'll likely need to find some sort of proprietary box magazine or pouch in order to use it effectively.
Realistic GameReady 3d-model for any projects. PBR-textures included.
