National Panasonic Cougar No7 (PBR)

This was the first portable model in the "Cougar" series and an iconic radio. Featuring a large front firing speaker for great sound quality and convenient control panel located on top, this unit also featured the revolutionary "Gyro Antenna," which rotated 180 degrees to aim desired AM stations or reject interference signals. Plus it had a fine tuning knob as well as BFO (bandpass filter) for monitoring amateur communications signals.
Panasonic sales channels often sold the Cougar radio as not only an excellent listener, but also user-friendly in everyday activities. Its ability to reject interference made it increasingly desirable among tropical shortwave DXers who sought a top quality but straightforward AM-FM portable.
Realistic 3d-model. Textures included.
