Leopard MBT UN Colors (PBR)

In the early 1970s, Germany and Japan joined forces to develop a new main battle tank. This culminated in the Leopard 2A5 that featured compound armor and an innovative turret design featuring Rhienmetall 120mm L/44 smoothbore main gun.
The Leopard MBT has seen service in eleven armies around the world, including Germany and other European nations as well as many non-European states like Australia, Canada and Denmark.
Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH's Leopard was first delivered to the German Army in 1979 and is now deployed across eleven land forces on three continents. Over time, several combat effectiveness improvement programs have been introduced such as improvements to the 120mm main gun, periscope sight and radio system.
Recently, the Hungarian Army purchased an array of Leopard MBTs, Panzerhaubitze 2000 SPGs and training vehicles to upgrade their current armored forces and replace Soviet-era tanks still in service with them. This program is expected to make Hungary one of the strongest and best equipped militaries in Eastern Europe.
