Volkswagen ID3 2024

Volkswagen has implemented various changes to the ID3's look and tech features in response to customer feedback, making subtle but significant improvements that should help address some of our complaints with this EV hatchback.
Exterior improvements include a dark olivine green paint job and two-part rear lights that aren't just reflectors like the outgoing model. Plus, new alloy wheel designs and improved interior material quality should help the ID3 stand out in its crowd.
Inside, the ID3 receives a higher-quality interior with door cards featuring fabric inserts and stitched dashboard face. This marks an improvement over Volkswagen's more plasticky, cheap-feeling materials of recent years.
VW has implemented a revamped menu structure in the infotainment setup that they claim makes it simpler to use, with charging now located at the top level of the display. Furthermore, The Electric Vehicle Route Planner now uses traffic information and battery level forecasts to plan charging stops during longer journeys for an even smoother experience.
Similar technology is now standard on assist systems, including Travel Assist with swarm data and Park Assist Plus with memory function. These help keep cars in their lane on country roads while enabling automatic retrieval of saved parking maneuvers.
Pricing and specifications for the Volkswagen ID3 2024 have yet to be finalised, but a spokesperson informed Drive that this reworked model will be available at all Volkswagen dealerships. Production is scheduled to start around October next year, meaning initial deliveries should take place around mid-2024.
