Meet - Cinema 4D

Simulation programs are growing due to the popularity of video games and fantasy films. At the same time, every designer chooses software that helps them maximize their creative potential. Cinema 4D is one such program. Maxon created it for working with 3D graphics and 3D images: animation, sculpting, rendering, modeling, and texturing.
What opportunities does this program open?
Cinema 4D employs designers from game design, branding, advertising, animation, digital art, architecture, and landscape design. What you can do with the program - and what objects it allows you to create:
- Animation - You can animate almost any object, material or parameter. Keyframes can be set manually or using generators to create animations of objects.
- MoGraph is a unique rules-based modeling and animation tool. Allows you to create everything from floating logos to abstract generative graphic effects.
- Modeling – polygonal, parametric, volumetric. With Cinema 4D's set of polygonal modeling tools, you can create any objects: from vehicles to characters. Parametric modeling provides the ability to change objects at any time. And with the help of volumetric modeling, you can create complex models, turning graphic elements into real geometry or animated growth effects.
- Sculpting—allows you to create characters and objects from “digital clay.” Cinema 4D has a set of additional parameters for this: symmetry, stencils and masks for creating complex objects and details.
- Rendering - renders photorealistic frames taking into account lighting, shadows and reflections: for example, city streets, a beach, a tropical garden and other exterior scenes.
- Workflow - Tight integration with the Adobe suite: After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Substance 3D. Allows you to import vector graphics into Cinema 4D, multi-layer PSD files for creating materials, transfer projects from Cinema 4D to After Effects and render from this program.
Additional Cinema 4D programs
Maxon offers to purchase Cinema 4D separately or as part of the Maxone ONE package, which includes other programs for visualization and 3D modeling:
- ZBrush. Creates digital sculptures, models, paintings and illustrations that require careful texture development. Supports anchor brush system: Special knife brush makes designing more convenient. Allows you to draw on the model surface in real time, without preliminary UV mapping.
- Red Giant - for video production and animation graphics. Includes advanced Magic Bullet Looks color management system and Trapcode tool for creating fire, smoke, snow and other visual effects. As well as a set of Universe plugins for video transitions and VFX for creating seamless compositions.
- Redshift is a powerful tool for GPU-accelerated rendering. It delivers fast rendering speeds and stunning photorealistic results—essentially, the designer can make edits and immediately see the final image.
- Forger is a mobile app for digital sculpting and sculpting. The latest version introduces a set of tools for transferring Area and IES lights, as well as a Sketch Sculpt brush that allows you to create new shapes.
- Universe - video transition and effects tools for editors and animators. The Bokeh plugin allows you to quickly create beautiful bokeh - blurring the background, and the Bokeh Transition plugin option allows you to smoothly transition between two clips with a defocus effect.
