Seungjin Yang The Future Perfect Blowing Stool

A Korean designer by the name of Seungjin Yang creates unique furniture pieces. He has created a series of chairs made from balloons. These pieces feature a variety of colors and shapes.

The Blowing chair series was inspired by the simple act of blowing a balloon. But it soon evolved into a process of producing balanced and rigid textures from balloons.

After graduating from Hongik University in Seoul, Seungjin began making balloon furniture. It began with a desire to explore the potential of balloons as a material. His work has also been exhibited at various design festivals. He hopes to exhibit his portfolio in New York in 2021.

For his Blowing series, Seungjin Yang coats balloons with epoxy resin. Each piece is made from eight layers. This process gives the balloon constructions a beautiful glossy finish.

Seungjin Yang is an artist who loves to experiment and explore new forms. Whether it is through playful colors or experimenting with experimental shapes, he strives to push the boundaries of balloon art. Currently, he is working to make a sofa that can seat two people.

In addition to his work at The Future Perfect, Seungjin Yang has designed chairs for a Cultural Factory osan in Korea. He also hopes to show his work at Design Miami in November.

One of his favorite pieces is the Blowing Armchair 5. This chair is one of the most unique, yet functional of his works. Upon its completion, it is dipped in epoxy resin, which gives it a sturdy and strong shape.
