Molteni&C Surf Sofa is a modular seating system designed by Canadians George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg for Italian contemporary furniture brand Molteni&C. Free from excessive modularity, its design boasts unexpected details - ideal for residential or hospitality projects such as hotels or offices.

Yabu Pushelberg's design is inspired by the soothing rhythmic interplay of surf and sand, drawing inspiration from aircraft wings and bridges. Instead of maintaining a rigid shape that creates visual breaks, Surf is composed of central, chaise longue, corner, island and terminal elements which can be combined according to space requirements.

This rounded form is achieved through differentiated polyurethane foam technology and features artfully designed rectilinear, chaise longue, corner and terminal elements with partial devoid of backrests - providing multiple compositions for living rooms or bedrooms.

Molteni&C's collection features an array of fabrics and leathers in a selection of sinuous lines that gives the integral seat and backrest a slight prominence. This combination creates a sofa with a unique aesthetic that can be tailored to match your design preferences.

The sofa comes in several versions - including a small table with marble base and wooden top complete with a handle for ease of moving, which can be placed on either right or left side to serve as counterweight or keep items within easy reach while seated on the sofa.
