In his most recent works, Heiner Thiel, as in his earlier works, deals with the perception of form, and here in particular with the square. Square sheets of aluminum are machined into a concave or convex shape and anodized in various intense, dark colors. The optical interplay of metal and color creates a virtual color space that shines towards the viewer.
