Soviet scooter Tula T200 (PBR)

Tula T200 was an innovative and unique vehicle produced in Soviet production. It's a full-weight three-wheeler, providing an affordable alternative to motorcycles while carrying up to 200 kg of cargo.
In 1956, the Soviet government decided that a new "full-weight" scooter would be built in Tula based on East Germany's GoggoTA55 prototype. Although this ambitious undertaking proved impossible, Tula had plenty of capable engineers ready for it!
On April 27, 1957, the first sample of this vehicle was made. It was rather heavy with an output of 8 horsepower and top speed of 80 km/h.
In 1961, the TG-200 underwent modernization: engine power was increased to 9 horsepower with a kick starter, simplified shock absorber design, load bearing hood that eliminated need for tubular subframe at rear end and front push-type lever fork for improved handling.
In 1962, a redesign of the front wing dramatically reduced the body's center of gravity. Furthermore, cargo platforms featured lower profiles and additional side cleats for added support.
In 1978, TG-200 underwent one final stage of modernization: it gained a cylinder with an aluminum sleeve, increased compression ratio and shortened exhaust. This resulted in the "Tulitsa", or modernized tourist M scooter which entered serial production the following year in 1979.
