The VEC-20 (Vehículo de Exploración de Caballería) is a light armored reconnaissance vehicle used by the Spanish Army. Designed for mobility, versatility, and durability, the VEC-20 is a reliable asset for reconnaissance missions, patrols, and support operations in diverse terrains and conditions.
The vehicle is built on a 6x6 wheeled chassis, derived from the French Panhard AML, offering exceptional maneuverability and speed for off-road and urban environments. Its compact and lightweight design ensures it can quickly navigate challenging terrains, making it ideal for scouting and reconnaissance tasks.
The VEC-20 is equipped with a 20mm autocannon mounted in a fully rotating turret, providing excellent firepower for its size. The armament is complemented by a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun for additional versatility in engaging both light-armored vehicles and infantry. Smoke grenade launchers are also integrated into the design for defensive measures.
