The Audi S4 Avant 2020 is an all-purpose wagon that seamlessly combines performance with practicality.

The S4 has been a cornerstone of the Audi A4 range since the late nineties, and while its new facelift has kept much of the same design, there is still plenty to enjoy about it. For instance, its 505-litre boot expands to 1510 litres when all seats are folded - more than enough room for family trips!

It's an impressively fast car, too, boasting its 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 260kW and 500Nm. While not quite as quick or powerful as the S4 TDI, this engine still feels powerful when pushed to deliver speed - no doubt about that!

Though much of the S4's specification is standard across the range, you can still add on optional extras like a heated rear seat and gloss black paint. Furthermore, there's also an available Sport differential for front wheels which provides added grip when tackling New Zealand's challenging twisty roads and bends.

One major advantage of the new S4 is its smooth and quiet ride, especially in Comfort mode when adjustable dampers are set to a more relaxed setting and the engine sounds almost inaudible.

The interior of the S4 Avant is equally appealing, boasting a new touchscreen infotainment system with some impressive features. The single 10.1-inch display in the centre stack is easy to use and boasts excellent response time.
