KA-52 Alligator Hokum B (PBR)

The KA-52 Alligator Hokum B is Russia's newest attack helicopter. Based on the popular Ka-50 design, it has been upgraded with reconnaissance and target designation equipment as well as a battlefield management system to exchange data with other similar helicopters and third party sources.
Kamov Design Bureau's Alligator, a two-seat version of the Ka-50 helicopter, was developed. It's equipped with two Klimov VK-2500 turboshaft engines to enable it to operate in hot climates as well as mountainous terrain.
The Alligator's distinctive maneuverability was made possible by its signature coaxial contra-rotating main rotors that eliminate the need for a tail rotor, enabling the helicopter to perform "loops" and "rolls".
In comparison to its predecessor, the Ka-50, the Alligator provides more weapons options. It features six wing-mounted stores pylons which store anti-tank missiles, rockets, air-to-air missiles, gun ammunition of various caliber and bombs; plus it has a movable high speed firing gun starboard of the cockpit that fires either anti-tank rockets or bombs.
The Ka-52 is the heaviest attack helicopter currently in service, yet it still manages to be agile and maneuverable. Its two coaxial contra-rotating main rotors enable it to perform loops and rolls as well as circle maneuvers around targets with varying altitude, elevation, and airspeed. This makes it an effective aerial assault platform capable of carrying various aircraft weapons and operating in various weather conditions.
