APC-BISON NATO Concept (PBR)

The 2022 Strategic Concept emphasizes three essential tasks to build Alliance defense capabilities: Collective Defense, New Missions and Strengthened Partnerships. The Concept affirms NATO's steadfast dedication to collective defense under Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty and affirms Allies' determination to increase their collective action capacity across a broad range of international security challenges.

New Missions: The Concept calls for the Alliance to take on new missions in response to emerging threats - such as regional conflicts, weapons of mass destruction proliferation and terrorist activities. These tasks necessitate a flexible, agile and mobile military force capable of operating across all NATO operations.

Stronger Partnerships: The Concept calls for the Alliance to cultivate deeper and wider partnerships that promote transparency, mutual confidence and capacity to act together. These alliances will be essential in responding to emerging threats in our Euro-Atlantic environment while providing Allies and their citizens with a more stable and secure future.

Improved Protection: The Concept is designed to offer enhanced protection for Alliance members against a variety of threats, such as chemical and biological agents. Furthermore, it intends to boost the resilience of Alliance defense capabilities against cyberattacks.

Armament: The vehicle is equipped with either a 12.7mm HMG turret, remote-controlled Mowag apex Browning 8 mm M1919A4 mount or fixed TOW ATGM. Additionally, several grenade launchers are present as well.
