Car Mercedes-benz 300 sel 3.6

The 300 Sel 3.6 is one of the greatest cars ever built. This 4 door saloon from Mercedes-benz was produced since 1968 and belongs to their W 109 model range, featuring rear wheel drive and a front located engine.
It is powered by a 3.5 litre 8 cylinder engine and equipped with a 4 speed manual gearbox that transfers power to the driven wheels. Capable of reaching 60mph in just 7.0 seconds, this car has impressive acceleration figures.
This car was created by Rote Sau, a tuning workshop founded by two former engineers from Mercedes-benz who wanted to compete in racing events. Their goal was to construct what they believed would be the fastest sedan on earth.
These men worked long and hard, even when faced with overwhelming odds. Their effort culminated in the development of an incredible Mercedes-benz race car that would finish 2nd at 24 Hours of Spa 1971.
But it wasn't all good news for Mercedes-benz's top brass. Without proper wheel arch extensions, its tires would not hold up in a race and safety was an immediate priority for the company.
Waxenburger came up with a solution and used the 6.3 litre V8 from his 600 limousine as inspiration for their creation: an incredible 430 horsepower machine that broke all records at its time and established it as the pinnacle of performance in its class.
