1967 Maserati Ghibli Classic Car

RM Sotheby's is currently offering this 1967 Maserati Ghibli Classic Car for sale. This rare early 4.7 Coupe model boasts low mileage and matching numbers, making it a rare find.
Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the Ghibli with its iconic'shark-shaped' front end and advanced pop-up headlights, capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds. Other models designed by him include Iso Grifo and Alfa Romeo GTV.
This classic Ghibli featured a 4.7-liter V-8 engine derived from Maserati racing engines from the 1950s. It featured dry sump lubrication and two chain-driven camshafts per cylinder bank for maximum power output.
It boasted 330 horsepower and had an impressively low redline of 5500 rpm, allowing for comfortable highway cruising. You could choose to pair this powerful machine with either a five-speed ZF manual transmission or three-speed Borg Warner automatic gearbox.
This model featured a distinct 'fastback' profile and long wheelbase designed by Giorgio Giugiaro, then working for Ghia. It quickly caught the attention of design connoisseurs around the world.
Another outstanding feature of the Ghibli was its leaf-sprung rear axle, an option not often seen in modern cars but standard for Maserati during this era. Although this holdover from earlier Maserati models proved successful and provided comfort on long journeys.
The Maserati Ghibli, with its luxurious proportions and shark-shaped fastback body style, was a iconic example of front-engined Italian grand tourers. It stood apart from rivals such as Lamborghini Miura or Ferrari 365 GT 2+2, yet remains among the best examples of its breed today.
Realistic 3d-model for various projects.
